In 1898, Michelin Tire Company released numerous tire, automobile, and Bicycle poster advertisements. Around that time they were producing a third of the world's tires. Bibo, Michelin's mascot was seen in many, if not all, the company's posters and advertisements. This particular Vintage Michelin Poster is a little classier than their previous ad's.
I personally like this Vintage poster more than most other Michelin ad's. This poster has a Victorian stylized woman which is much more attractive than Bibo making a toast, in my opinion. The tire she is holding frames her upper body and draws the attention to the tire and her. At first I didn't even notice the large mascot in the background but then I saw the hand that is holding her up! A very stylish poster overall.
